Apple Valley Foothill County Water District is holding a workshop meeting to review and discuss the 2024 Water Rate Study performed by the Rural Community Assistance Corporation (RCAC). RCAC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that operates in 13 western states and Pacific islands. It serves Indigenous and rural communities through training, technical and financial assistance, and advocacy. Another topic of discussion will be the upcoming Budget for Fiscal Year 2024-25. Using the Water Rate Study, this year's budget will follow the budgetary figures in the study. Although the water rate study has a 5-year plan of nominal increases for each year, a budget and water rate review will continue to take place each spring.
